Forest Circle Society for Families is a non-profit society, governed by a volunteer board of directors that meet on a monthly basis during the school year. The primary mandate of the board is to provide quality child care services for families in the Campbell River area, with a particular focus on the student parent population while also offering services to the general community. Our Annual General Meeting, usually held in June of every year, was been postponed until September 2020 and done in a virtual format due to the COVID-19 situation. Inquiries about becoming a board member are always welcome.
Our Society’s responsibilities are entrusted to a Board of Directors. Currently, our board has 8 directors, as named below. The board ensures that the overall administration of our incorporated non-profit Society, including Forest Circle Child Care and Cari’s Infant and Toddler Centre, is fulfilled responsibly.
Our Board is dedicated to the provision of safe, nurturing and educational child care services for student and other families, employing Early Childhood and Infant/Toddler Educators and support staff in an environment of respect and caring.
I would like to thank board members, affiliated organizations and others in the community for volunteering their time and resources to our Society and programs and our wonderful staff for their many contributions, especially during this unprecedented time of a global pandemic. It truly does “take a village to raise a child”, and I am grateful to be part of a community that values and supports families.
